• IBO (Image-based operation) für traditional frame buffer drawing
• LBO (Line-based operation) Increased BLIT engine performance und reduced memory

Candera at Embedded World 2020

Candera at Embedded World 2020

As a leading international world fair with its exclusive focus on embedded technologies, the Embedded World Exhibition & Conference reflects the main trends of the sector. From 25th to 27th February, 2020 more than 900 exhibitors from all over the world showcased their products and services at the exhibition center in Nuremberg/Germany. Unfortunately, the corona situation also affected this fair resulting in a reduced overall number of visitors at the exhibition. However, especially on the second day the attendance of the Candera booth was quite good with high quality leads within the automotive, industrial and home appliances sector.

Candera was presenting a mix of innovative HMI solutions and technologies in the area of embedded HMI design – with novelties in the automotive and home appliances solutions. Highlights at the Candera booth were the „Holi Cluster & IVI Solution” and a newly developed Smart Oven UI.

Candera’s smart oven user interface with scan & bake app

Smart Oven User Interface

Based on CGI Studio Candera has developed an Android-based smart oven user interface. This full digital UI (with baking and cooking function) of a next generation’s oven, is not only particularly user-friendly and appealing, but has been expanded by a smart Scan & Bake app.The app installed on a conventional smartphone enables to scan the barcodes on the back of common food packaging (e.g. frozen product packaging for pizza, lasagna, etc.) and to transmit this data directly to the oven UI. After one scan the user can directly start the baking process or adjust the settings according to his/her personal choice. The advantage for the user is obvious: this smart UI-interface is particularly user-friendly and enables a quick and easy handling.

Functional safety, hypervisor and augmented reality

Additionally to the Holi HMI Candera was showcasing solutions based on innovative technologies like hypervisors, functional safety and augmented reality.
